DONCASTER & DISTRICT RAYNET GROUP

Formed in July 2005 the group is very much in its infancy.

Our aim is to get the group up and running and be in a position where we can truely declare ourself operational. It is our wish to be available to the authorities if and when they require our assistance. What we do not want to be doing is blustering into a situation without sufficient training and awareness on our part. We do not wish to add to the chaos that will already be prevailing.

Members at present have come from Finningley Amateur Radio Society but it is emphasised that the two organisations are totally seperate and one does not rely on the other. Membership therefore is open to anyone who wishes to join and give something back to the community. We don't have to think back too far to realise how important our hobby and our skills can be when the chips are down.
