Changes for GB3YR
By Andy M0VKG on Mon, 2010-11-08 14:04
The VHF repeater GB3YR, run by the South Yorkshire Repeater Group and located near Maltby, may soon have a new home.
According to a notice sent out by SYRG, they have applied to move the repeater to the QTH of Ernie G4LUE, where the group's UHF repeater GB3SY is already located. Along with the move, it's anticipated that the name will change to GB3NA, replacing the old GB3NA which is now the D-STAR repeater GB7YD.
SYRG hope that the savings that will come from moving GB3YR will help with bringing the new 6 metre repeater GB3HF on air, which is planned to happen in the coming weeks.
For more information, please see the article on SYRG's website here.
