YORKSHIRE ROUND TABLE
Excellent event enjoyed by club members and we think by everyone that attended. This turned out to be a very succesful weekend for the club in both PR and monetary terms.
THANK YOU to everyone who attended both club members and visitors alike.
Visit the Club
What a surprise when I went to the Club on Saturday - I knew Cedric had commenced painting as the outside doors had all been undercoated last week. Well now they are resplendant in blue AND the walls are repainted on building 1. It looks superb.
We've loads of events coming up, but its worth a visit just to admire the building!! So come on down over Easter, admire the painting, hear what we're up to in the coming months, and join in!
Well done Cedric and anyone else who has helped - I know from the log you've put some hours in so thank you very much on behalf of the Club.
Also thank you John, I think the van is now MoT'd and ready to go, we'll need to update our photo on the website and QRZ
New Committee
Five minutes into his new position of Health & Safety and Tony Walton informs Dave Kennedy that from here on in, dunking biscuits is not allowed - it could lead to scalded fingers!!! Stay tuned....
SURPLUS EQUIPMENT AUCTION
Numerous items of surplus equipment including HF / VHF rigs will very soon be auctioned off to the highest bidding member (members only). These items can be seen at the club and some have already had a Reserve price afixed to them. More details will be published to members prior to the start date. It is envisaged that the auction process will be by way of a sealed bid.
REMEMBRANCE SUNDAY
Once again the Society will be having an act of Remembrance at the Memorial. The Rev David Benson will again be present and this year the flypast will be piloted by Mike Roe from Derby. Everyone welcome. Please attend no later than 10:45.
BONFIRE NIGHT - TUESDAY 4TH NOVEMBER

Saturday 6th September
Unfortunately due to the weather we experienced yesterday and this morning, Andy, rightly cancelled his visit with the Landrover. Hopefully, we can arrange something for a future date.
Congratulations today to George Toomer who has now joined the ranks of the M6 licence holders. Hope to hear you on the air soon, George.
Japan was coming in strong this morning and both Cedric and Brian got some in the log before conditions changed.
Nice visit today from Peter, G3WQ. Always a pleasure.
