Saturday 6th September
Unfortunately due to the weather we experienced yesterday and this morning, Andy, rightly cancelled his visit with the Landrover. Hopefully, we can arrange something for a future date.

Congratulations today to George Toomer who has now joined the ranks of the M6 licence holders. Hope to hear you on the air soon, George.

Japan was coming in strong this morning and both Cedric and Brian got some in the log before conditions changed.

Nice visit today from Peter, G3WQ. Always a pleasure.

25th August - Rossington Carnival
Members took part in the Rossington Carnival and a good day was had. Contacts were made with all the usual European countries and we made it across the pond into the USA, Russia and Japan.
Once again many new friends made.

Full house in the back of the van with Dave, Richard, Rod and John.

Social evening Saturday 13th September
After several aborted barbeque's due to the weather we are to hold a social evening with 60's 70's and 80's music on 13th September.  We plan to kick off about 7pm, there will be a buffet, please bring along your own drink and feel free to stay overnight should you wish.

It would be appreciated if members planning to attend could add their names to the list on the club notice board, so that we will have an idea of numbers to cater for.

It should be a memorable evening.  FARS members, family and friends only please.

Saturday 19th July 2008 - Sheffield HAMFUN Day

Members of the club that attended this one had a very good day. We flew the flag for FARS and made some more friends. We actually sold some gear as well which was thanks to Dave and Kevin.

The van went along too and we had a few 'Guest Operators' who enjoyed the novelty.

Back at the club, Peter ran an M6 course and Cedric was busy filling in the trench.

Would you buy from this man? - you'd be suprised that the numbers that did! The Treasurer has a smile on his face...£££
